The ever-present trend of enjoying food has reached epidemic proportions in recent years. You probably remember those first cooking shows, those two older French ladies: one thinner grayhead and the other dark, plump. Boy they cooked… something goose liver, then wrapped in a crust… And then their macrobiotic opposite: a mother and daughter from Britain with a bunch of sprouts and grains no one had heard of at the time. Then came the foodchannel, 24kitchen, and Jamie Oliver- the mage of culinary wonders. At one point, a large number of culinary shows appeared on our channels Gastronomad, Voki Kostić…. and then a large number of magazines.
What has recently emerged is the latest trend in the world of gastronomy that originates from North Korea and cannot be called anything other than Culinary Voyeurism. In short, people pay to watch a young and cheerful Korean woman who prepares food in the ambience of her home and then enjoys it, spending some more time afterward in a relaxed conversation with her subscribers. This nice thirty-three-year-old woman spends between 4 and 6 hours in an online program on her channel, eating huge amounts of food, which would be enough for one small sports team, without gaining weight at all. What is even more surprising, however, is that most of her fans are women.
The fact that a large number of people who are in a hospital or are on a diet turned to this Korean woman testifies to the fact that a good and noble purpose can be found in everything. As they say, she helps them, because they can somewhat satisfy the unquenched need for tasty food with this specific and rightly named Culinary Voyeurism.
There is no doubt that this Far Eastern trend will dominate the Western world as well. The comments on this YouTube channel speak in favor, and who knows, maybe they will reach our area. Until then, we suggest that you go to our restaurant together with your friends, as it seems that enjoying good food and a nice atmosphere takes even better company.
